This printer was made from surplus parts I had laying around. The printed parts were pieces I'd printed for a few friends and had printed a few extra pieces. I keep any excess printed parts in a tub, inside a zip-lock baggy labeled with the printer name. I've got enough parts there to build several printers - the only problem is they end up multi colored like this Mendal Max. I don't mind the look myself.

I like this design a lot. It's very stable, very strong and with the EX2 enhancements, it prints like a champ.
