In this, the final part, I would like to introduce Machine Vision and show how it can be used, not only for tool position setting but also for resolving the triangle to calculate the G68 (local system rotated) for jobs which are not squarely placed on the work table.

      Had no idea about this feature. I had planned on using a red laser to help guild me to correct start position. With this feature I can stay seated and the computer and move to the desired position via the camera.

      Thanks this is a good guide to tool position using Mach3 & camera. Do you still need limit switches?

        It would perhaps be unwise to use any machine without limit switches. This method of tool positioning does not however require the use of home switches.
