    Hi All,

I need a vacuum for my new Sea-Ox. It needs to work well with Carbon Fiber dust. Any recommendations ????

    Thanks Steven

Sounds cool. But I'm not ready to cut under water. Something about water and electric don't mix that well around me

What kind of budget are you looking at spending? If you wanted a really nice setup for your dust extraction I would look at a Festool dust extractor, even one of the small ones and add a Dust Deputy on to it. Not cheap but a very nice combo for collecting large amounts of dust

I guess 200 to 400. I say that because harbor freight has a 2 hp 5 micron dust collection machine for 210. But if something is reasonable and better, I'll get it

For that money you should be able to find a std 100mm dust extraction setup with side channel blower fan instead of vacuum, much quieter and more efficient. A 1kw is plenty.

Festool and wet vacs are great for short bursts but get on your nerves When they are on for hours, not really designed for long use either.
