I got a pack of the cheaper tee nuts and I noticed a lot of play in the connections. Are there tee nuts for aluminum extrusions that don't need careful alignment? How about the drop in tee nuts or the spring loaded ones? Is this a limitation for tee nuts in general? If so I'm going to have to change my plans and use plates, if those nut blocks are ever in stock again.

I'm working on something like this

but I quickly realized there is no way I'm going to get those two extrusions to be parallel when I tighten everything down.

T-nuts never really guarantee alignment, if that's what you're asking. There is plenty of play to align by other means. Drop-in nuts as sold in the store, I suppose, would do the most to ensure the bolt is centered in the track.

But if that's the case then your examples that use t-nuts to attach wheels will never be reliably aligned. I'm talking about these guys http://openbuildspartstore.com/90-degree-angle-corner-connector-v-slot/ and these guys http://openbuildspartstore.com/three-way-cube-corner-connector-v-slot/, at least nowhere with the precision of the gantry plates on wheels.

I cant figure out why something like this cant be made to snugly fit in the slots http://openbuildspartstore.com/spring-loaded-tee-nuts/

Oh and when the heck are http://openbuildspartstore.com/8mm-acme-nut-block/ going to be back in stock, hurry up and take my money!
