    Struggling with the decision , but the original Teknic servos I looked at seem to be much quieter .

    Make a note of the need for a brake on the Z axis.
    Consider using a standard Stepper motor for this axis.

    Brake noted but may not be require using rack and linear rail for the Z :) This is going to be a costly build , steppers and lead screws are out of equation .
