Are you using two mini V wheels per side? If so, what size spacer are you using between them?

I like the idea of a belt drive. I had a Harley with a chain and a belt drive. The belt drive was great. I'm still a little concerned about the strength of a smaller belt over time. What size motor will you use? Any thoughts screw vs belt?
I'm still looking at other builds as I have not determined what size I want to build. I will probably build about a 12" x 24" to cut wood and aluminum.
Thanks for any help you might have, Tom

    1500mm screw drive is pricey & I don't see anyone selling a 1500mm x 8mm screw drive. The
HTD 5M PU 15mm wide belts I'm using have 6 to 8 stainless steel cables inside polyurethane belt. not plastic, vinyl or rubber. I'm using 279oz SureStep NEMA 23's to start. I just welded the 5x10 ft table today. so it has not bin tested. I can always buy stronger NEMA's if i need to. I am also using the same Nema's on my dull X Axis and the same 15mm belt.

Any updates on this build? How did the 15mm belt perform in terms of stretch, accuracy, repeatability and wear? Any issues with slippage on the pulleys? I'm considering something similar and would be curious to know your results.

+1 for an update. How's it holding up? Got a parts list or recommendations?
I'm looking into outfitting an instrument used in a cotton gin with belt drive to run a bit faster this gin season. Will have >50k belt traversals down 1000mm C-beam in dusty industrial environment. I am curious if the belt and hears from that vendor hold up well or if I need to buy something more expensive.

This is the exact configuration I wanted to go with, as I need to move the Y axis quite fast and don't want to move the weight of two servos with it. It's been 4 years but an update would be great.
