X motor stuck high hum noise

    My cnc keeps getting stuck on x motor I have tried everything grounding certain things switched the interface to just a laptop it won't let me finish surfacing the table please help

    The onscreen error is just operator pressing the jog buttons too fast

    The motor gets stuck and doesn't move against
    It works for a bit then stops working back in forth it was working extremely well I can offer to pay you to help me fix it

    clean the machine so you can see what is making it stick. debris under the wheels can easily cause sticking like that.
    with power off, can you turn the leadscrew by hand without too much effort?
    if not, find out why and fix it so it turns smoothly from end to end. do not turn it fast as the motor can then damage the control board.

    Everything moves freely when off. I have brushes and hand broom I clean out the tracks with.

    well, it is stuck hard on something, you rmission is to find out what and remove it (-:

    I can't view the video, but from the symptoms, another possibility is a loose / intermittent connection to the motor - check wiring, etc.

    I did manage to view the video - your machine is extremely dirty - clean it and try again. Let us know if the problem persists when the machine is clean.

    Same thought - though with that state partial teardown to do a good clean might be a good idea - relube leadscrew, clean nutblocks, the whole catch up.
