This is my first build with V-slot and I'm pretty pleased with it. I call this the CraneBot, due to it's resemblance of a crane. It's similar to the OpenBot. The main difference with the CraneBot is the belt driven Z-axis with a geared PG35L-048 motor. The frame base is also different, utilizing 2"x2" 80/20 inc extrusion. Any future versions will use 20-4040 extrusion for better compatibility with v-slot.
Main design goals are:
Easy and fast to assemble
Minimized Parts Count
Stiff frame
Lower center of gravity
Portability
I'm finishing up a separate build, and then I'll finish this one up in the coming weeks!
