      Hello fellow builders,

This is the first project that I would like to share with you. I know the build looks familiar and it is; it’s based on Mark Carew´s Routy. Work area is 300*500*55 mm and is NEMA17/GT2 belt driven.

The BoM is about the same as the original Routy, but the T Joining Plates are not used, nor the 3 Hole Joining Strip Plate. To keep the Routy strong the V-slots used on the gantry moved 23mm from each other making the T Joining Plates obsolete.

The Routy was given legs and the bed is now a lot sturdier. If needed, M5 screws can be tapped into the bottom the legs, so, you can adjust the machine to level. I decided to put legs on all my design, also on my 48x48 Ox that I will post here soon as well after posting the Guide of the smaller brother the Routy GT2 290 BSX (PDF).

I’ve to clean up the drawing and the BoM and will upload those as soon as possible so others can enjoy this great new build.

Mexican builders can order the whole kit assembled with MDF bed and a Dremel 3000 directly on the OpenBuild México page (I hope I’m not spamming too much ;) ).

The photo with the larger Routy on the four chairs is the Routy GT3 600 BSX and has a working area of 600*800*55 mm and is NEMA23/GT3 belt driven (now you know where the numbers 300 and 600 come from).

      06/24/2015 - UPDATE

There were never pictures posted from a complete build. I've been selling quite some of these CNC Routers lately so it's time to show you how the look when the build is completed. Soon i'll put up the Building Guide in PDF, written in Spanish, English and I'll try Portuguese as well.

Let me show you some pictures:

The Routy can handle easily a Dremel Tool but can be equipped with a router up to 650W.

SketchUp 2015 file added for download ;).

BoM in MicroSoft Excel 97 format added (note: needs to be updated, 6.35mm spacers for the wheels should to be added).

      I hope you like it!
