im wondering what settings people are using for their CNC mills. I have recently begun the C-Beam plate machine and plan to work with aluminum and possibly carbon fiber (safety precautions covered).

I've read the paper on the effect on torque by utilizing microsteps. It seems this build was designed around 1/8 steps on Nema 23. Wondering if people are experimenting with any alternate micro steps for milling aluminum.

Thanks in advance for any info you can share.
